Accessibility Statement

Draft for review. This page was prepared as a starting point. Items marked [TO CONFIRM] need your business details before the shop goes live, and the wording should be checked by someone qualified.

Our commitment

Belfast Pet Supplies wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we have done

• Built the site with semantic headings, labelled forms and a visible keyboard focus style.
• Made sure colour is not the only way information is shown, and set a colour contrast that meets AA guidance.
• Added alt text to the photographs, and made sure every form field has a label.
• Made the shop usable with a screen reader, including the basket and checkout.

Known limitations

[TO CONFIRM: any parts of the site that are not yet fully accessible, for example a third-party payment page or an embedded map]

Feedback

If you have trouble using any part of this website, email info@belfastpetsupplies.com and tell us what you were trying to do and which page you were on. We will get back to you and fix the problem.

Enforcement procedure

If you are not happy with how we respond to a complaint, you can contact the Equality and Human Rights Commission (Equality Advisory and Support Service) or the Information Commissioner’s Office.
